September 14, 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) hosted a press conference calling out the left’s pro-crime policies that have made cities and suburbs less safe. Senator Blackburn was joined by Senators Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Mike Braun (R-Ind.), John Kennedy (R-La.), and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).

“The radical left has used soft on crime policies to embolden criminals and endanger communities. This month Tennesseans have had reminder after heartbreaking reminder of how these attacks on the rule of law have deadly consequences. Weak on crime prosecutors, relaxed sentencing, and anti-police protests have made upholding justice all the more difficult for the brave men and women in law enforcement. Americans don’t want the Democrats’ ‘Defund the Police’ agenda; they want criminals behind bars and police officers on the streets,” said Senator Blackburn.
