ICYMI: Blackburn Discusses Chattanooga Migrant Crisis with Fox News Radio

May 20, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) joined Fox News Radio to discuss Biden’s border crisis after reports that his administration was secretly flying unaccompanied minors into Chattanooga under the cover of darkness.

Cartel Control of U.S.-Mexico Border

“These cartels are global enterprises. They are very sophisticated businesses. They're making more money right now trafficking human beings then they are trafficking drugs. So this is why we have to secure the border to show that our country is stronger than the cartel. We are not going to let the cartel get the best of us. They may be running that border on the Mexico side, but we cannot let them be running that border on the U. S. side. We have to put a stop to this business of using taxpayer dollars to fly these migrant under the cloak of darkness to different cities around the country…We are doing part of the cartels’ work.”

Reinstating Trump’s Remain in Mexico Policy

“The Remain in Mexico policy worked: it caused people to have to stay in Mexico until their asylum claim was heard. Right now what they are doing is turning them loose in the country and most of these people will never show up…and have that asylum claim. So what we have to do is make certain that we continue to push this legislation… We have to push to put these protocols in place.”
