WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) has received a response from Snap VP of Global Public Policy Jennifer Stout after she raised concerns that the Snapchat app enables child predators and exposes children to explicit sexual content.

“Keeping our children safe online is paramount,” said Senator Blackburn. “I am appreciative of Snap’s responsiveness and willingness to engage in a productive discussion. These vulnerabilities must be addressed.”

On July 18, Senator Blackburn convened the first Tech Task Force meeting, which Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) asked her to lead. The panel included Snap Chief Privacy Officer Katherine Tassi.
